This is a howto on configuring internet and e-mail services on a dialup connected linux box. It's basically an update of the original howto written by Bhyrava Prasad of ILUG-Hyderabad, which can be found at http://www.ilug-hyd.org.in/vsnlcon.html

I've updated the howto and trimmed sections of it (especially those related to dialing into your ISP and establishing a ppp connection, providing URLs which have detailed howtos instead

The howto has been split into three parts:

• Dialing into your ISP (Using DOT, a government telco+ISP in Hyderabad, India for example)
• Configuring POP3 and SMTP (using fetchmail and some popular unix MTAs)
• Configuring your mail client (using mutt and pine)
